The new TEX HOMME Spring / Summer 2019 collection starts from the dialogue between the nobility of silk and the practicality of cotton to give shape to a new concept of elegance for men’s clothing.

The men’s suit is ennobled with blends of silk, cotton and lycra to obtain light and compact fabrics, with typically masculine designs such as pinstripes, windowpane, Prince of Wales, perfect for creating elegant day-suiting with a sporty-formal look, where the shine of silk is extinguished by the opacity of cotton and comfort is guaranteed by the presence of lycra.

Lightness remains a key theme also for this collection. Using special looms we have created fabrics for jackets in a lino weave, breathable, with a sporty look, with mélange and rustic designs, made with cotton and cotton / silk blends.

Prints are the star of the new collection and aimed at both the fashion-sports world of Miami Beach-style clubs or California surfers, as well as that of traditional garment makers who create classic-tailored suits. We found bases in nylon for k-way and quilting, pop prints with bright colors and strongly characterizing designs to be used on sports jackets, bomber jackets, jogging suits, swimwear, but also printed fabrics for formal dresses, with micro-patterns, denim effects, small windowpane, made of jersey piquet, silk shantung, cotton and lycra blends.

Printed jersey, with typically masculine designs, is presented in the Spring / Summer collection and becomes a characteristic feature of the Tex Homme collection.

In the jacquards we find micro-designs that reinterpret Japanese male kimonos and develop both on minimum weights for very light jackets, and more substantial structures for spring garments.

Lastly, a strong theme of the spring / summer collection is the Colonial, proposed both in print and jacquard, with rustic effects due to Indian-inspired work: rough canvases with stitching of big threads, sack cloths, use of knots as in shantung. The colors are typically Saharan ones: from white to sand, to rope, to cocoa; the themes are inspired by old Saharan colonial prints and romantic memories of adventures in the desert.

We look forward to meeting you at Ideabiella Milan and Première Vision Paris.
